Back in July Texthelp announced the availability of Fluency Tutor for Google at the California Google Summit. Since then more than 1500 educators have begun using the program and the feedback on this new reading fluency app for Google Drive has been great. If you haven’t tried it yet, Texthelp is now offering one year of premium access FREE for users who install prior to October 1, 2014.

If you are not familiar with Fluency Tutor for Google, it is a levelled reading and assessment tool designed for the Google Apps for Education environment that helps teachers support and assess emerging or struggling readers. See the video below for a short overview of the program:

Features that allow teachers to share passages with students so they can hear them read aloud and then record themselves reading are free. Teachers can also download and listen to the student recordings. Tools to score the recordings and provide feedback are available with a premium subscription. That’s why any educator interested in using the application for assessment should act fast and install prior to October 1st in order to receive access to all of these tools free for a year.
How do I get this deal?
Simply go to fluencytutorforgoogle.com and click the link to access the app from the Chrome Web Store. Once installed, go ahead and upgrade to the free 30 day premium trial. On October 1st (if not before), you will see your expiration date updated to October 1, 2015. It’s that simple! If you have already downloaded the app you are all set.
Your feedback on Fluency Tutor for Google is also important for future development. After installing, be sure to join Texthelp’s Google for Education Community where you can share your thoughts, learn about future updates, and connect with other Fluency Tutor for Google users.
