WordPower software from Inman Innovations is a word-based vocabulary design that is now available for Boardmaker with Speaking Dynamically Pro, or Speaking Dynamically Pro.
WordPower combines the features of core vocabulary, spelling, and word prediction. The system capitalises on the fact that a core of just 100 words accounts for approximately 50% of most words spoken.
WordPower includes both text-only WordPower and symbol-supported Picture WordPower. Each supports scanning or direct-selection for the vocabulary that best meets the user’s needs.
The WordPower package now includes six versions:
- WordPower (for text users)
- Scanning WordPower
- Picture WordPower (for users who need picture cues)
- Scanning Picture WordPower
- Picture WordPower with Phrases and Categories (for users who require phrases, categories and picture support to generate language)
- Picture WordPower with no keyboard
