SymbolMate is ideal for creating paper-based communication pages and educational material with symbols, text or photos.

SymbolMate allows for the creation of communication pages for AAC users and their static devices with pre-designed templates. Along with supporting communication needs, SymbolMate is the perfect tool for building visual schedules and social skill activities for children with autism. It also supports literacy development by allowing the teacher to create books and symbol-based literacy activities for emergent readers.

Symbols developed for communication

SymbolMate uses the SymbolStix symbol library. SymbolStix is one of the most comprehensive and consistent symbol libraries available; it includes more than 15,000 professionally line drawn symbols. The symbol library is updated regularly to keep up with current events, topics or news-worthy people, helping to engage users in daily news and extending their vocabulary and conversation.

SymbolMate and SymbolStix also include symbols representing your local vocabulary. It currently supports five different languages with more to come.

With SymbolMate you can easily add more pictures or graphics by importing entire folders from your computer to further personalise the communication.
