What is it?
Educational materials for building literacy and linguistic skills with the Tango. Tango to Literacy focuses on the Tango’s first 30 Core Words. Students will:

- build language and conversation skills
Who is it for?
Students who are learning to read, write, and communicate.
Students most likely to be successful will have well-developed emergent literacy understandings. They should have had multiple opportunities to engage in print-based interactions with others that have helped them learn strategies consistent with a child who is at the end of kindergarten. (Some letter sound associations, some sight words and recognises most of the alphabet). Developed by Maureen Donnelly, Pati King-DeBaun, and edited by Dr. Karen Erickson, Tango to Literacy uses a variety of activities and lessons to develop phonics and language skills.
