The word-lists for StarSpell 3 are in three parts. Click the links below and use your internet viewer to save the word lists to files. The word lists may be copied for non-commercial use, but please acknowledge Fisher-Marriott Software’s copyright.

• Main StarSpell word-list The lists make a comprehensive approach to spelling. Phonic patterns are presented in a rational order. There are also many lists for each main school subject, and lists of words with interesting connections. Some 586 lists, over 4,300 words.
• Phonics: Letters and Sounds lists These are for beginning readers. Some 280 lists and more than 1500 words. Includes a “Tops and Tails” section.
• UK English Primary School Literacy Hour lists UK primary schools are expected to spend an hour each day on the development of literacy. Some 533 lists with 3500 words.
