The PROGress is an advanced remote control system with a colour touch screen, adapted for people with disabilities. It is based on a personal digital assistant (PDA).
PROGress can be programmed, which means that it can “learn” infrared (IR) codes from other remote control units such as those for a TV, video, stereo system or other electrical devices. The colour screen is dynamic, and the information displayed can be arranged according to the needs of the user.

Accessing the PROGress
The PROGress can be operated using the following:
- direct selection of the buttons on the touch screen
- switch scanning with external switches – scanning options include: one or two switch scan, auditory scan, automatic or step scan.

PROGress PC Software
Shipped with PROGress, PROGress Star or Micro USB trainable infrared transmitter, it runs on a Windows PC and is used to operate, make back ups and customise various settings of the PROGress infrared transmitters.
As the program has the same appearance as PROGress it can be used to demonstrate the PROGress on a PC.
When the PROGress Star USB or PROGress Micro USB is connected to the PC, PROGress PC can transmit and learn IR codes via those devices. The CD-ROM includes all different languages and manuals.
PROGress PC software requires Win 98se, ME, 2000 or XP and can be downloaded free of charge (see below).

- Battery: uses internal rechargeable batteries. Life depends on usage. Battery low warnings start at 10% power remaining. Programming is lost if unit goes completely flat. You must restore from back-up. Recommendation: do not allow the PROGress to run completely flat.
