At Level Four, each book has 20 pages, with some variation of page layout. Whilst all the children appear in each book, one of them has the key role for each title. There is a build up of plot, with a climax and resolution. The stories have a stronger narrative but still make use of familiar vocabulary.
Level 4 Set A is the latest in the Planet Wobble series. With longer stories, these books will engage children who are becoming more confident in their reading. Alongside familiar activities from earlier levels, are further activities at word, sentence and text level. These include comprehension work and the opportunity to write a book review.

Set A
- The Fossil
Dan heads a trip to the Wobble Museum in search of a giant fossil. Time travelling turns out to be a feature of the museum and before long Dan and his friends find themselves face to face with a wobblesaurus. - The Old Man
Ella and her friends learn more about understanding other people when their teacher introduces them to a new project. Instead of running away, they are able to help the old man in the house down the road. - The Wrong Bag
Amber has no idea she has picked up the wrong bag at the space port. When she finds out, the children are involved in a breathless search. This is an adventure with lots of picture clues.

Build confidence through variety and progression
Planet Wobble provides progression through four levels: Level 1 Sets / Level 2 Sets / Level 3 Sets / Level 4 Set. Each set includes animated Clicker talking books, plus full-colour printed versions of the stories to enable you to use the materials away from the computer too. The emphasis on essential high frequency words teaches children to recognise these words automatically within a meaningful context, and become more fluent readers.

Each story is accompanied by a wide range of carefully constructed word, sentence and text level activities. These ensure that learners are reading for meaning and provide extensive practice and reinforcement opportunities. The activities are suitable for both group and individual work and are differentiated, enabling children of all abilities to use them. Planet Wobble is also fully switch accessible.

Each story comes with a range of Clicker activities, which are based on specific literacy objectives.
Each set includes the following activities:
The matching activities encourage children to look for patterns, from simple picture and word matching to listen-and-find activities. These can also be printed out and cut up, to make cards for table-top activities.
In the sentence activities, children build sentences in the Clicker Writer to help to reinforce the features of sentence construction. You can use them to practise the key vocabulary from the story, or to focus on the key elements of sentences.
The word activities reinforce recognition of high-frequency words, as well as their spelling. You can print out the words as ‘flash cards’, or use them on-screen, along with Clicker’s speech facility, to check word recognition.
These activities encourage children to understand and respond to questions about the books. There are word-based questions and picture-based questions, asking which of the characters did what in the story. These are particularly suitable for children who may find it difficult to respond in words.
Pre-prepared Clicker Grids enable children to compose their own stories, based on the themes of the books. You can also print these out, for children to write their stories away from the computer.
Here, the book is set up with pictures, but without text, so you can write the stories with your children. You can do this on-screen, or print the activities.

- A Book-only Pack is also available that includes five copies of each book in the set (total of 15 books).
- A Site Licence Pack includes a CD-ROM for installation on any computer on which you use Clicker on a single geographic site, plus six copies of each book in the set (total of 18 books).
