All we require is that you quote the serial number of your current copy of Kurzweil 3000 at the time of placing your upgrade order.

Minimum System Requirements for Kurzweil 3000 Standalone/Network Client

  • Operating System: Mac OS X version 10.4.1 or higher (not 10.6 – Snow Leopard)
  • Processor: G3 or higher (PowerPC or Intel Core 2 Duo Processor)
    Not compatible with Beige Power Macintosh G3
  • Memory: 256 MB (512 MB if using Cepstral voices)
  • Hard Disk Space: 300 MB (500 MB if using Cepstral voices)
  • Display: 800 × 600, thousands of colours
  • Additional Requirements: DVD drive, keyboard, mouse, speakers, microphone, TWAIN-compatible scanner for scanning (check scanner compatibility), Internet connection required for Web Licensing and some features (Read the Web, etc.)

System Requirements for Kurzweil 3000 Network Server (for Network Version only)

  • A Macintosh with a minimum of a G3 processor that has PowerPC or Intel with Rosetta, and that is running Mac OS X version 10.4 or later
  • Minimum of 128 MB of RAM
  • Minimum of 10 MB of hard disk space
  • USB port
  • “Beige” Macintosh G3’s are not compatible with Kurzweil 3000.
