Kurzweil 3000 is a scanning, reading and writing solution for people with learning disabilities or reading difficulties
Multi-user Stand-Alone options offer an economical way to purchase the Kurzweil 3000 program, if your site has computers networked together with a file server.
For the purposes of cumulative licence pricing, the program must be purchased by a specific entity or “site”. This would include a single district, school, university or college etc. The “site” should have a central point of contact and purchase orders should come from one primary source or contact.
A Learning Lab Pack 5 is also available as a multi-user purchase option.
Each Learning Lab Pack 5 is a bundle containing:
- one (1) Kurzweil 3000 Professional (Colour or Black and White as ordered) V4 for Macs
- four (4) Kurzweil 3000 LearnStations V4 for Macs.
The Learn Lab Pack 5 is suitable for a site where the teacher can use the Professional version to scan printed documents, create and prepare documents, and the students can use the LearnStation version’s reading, writing and learning tools.

- Operating System: Mac OS X version 10.4 or higher (not 10.6 – Snow Leopard) For Kurzweil 3000 Professional: 10.4.1 to use scanning functions
- Processor: G3 or higher (PowerPC or Intel Core 2 Duo Processor)
Not compatible with Beige Power Macintosh G3 - Memory: 256 MB (512 MB if using Cepstral voices)
- Hard Disk Space: 200 MB (500 MB if using Cepstral voices)
- Display: 800 × 600, thousands of colours
- Scanner (for Professional version only): Epson Perfection or Canon LIDE Scanners
