This first-of-its-kind Freehand, from AbleNet, provides computer access simply by touching fingers together on a special glove. Originally developed by Iron Will Innovations in Canada for the gaming and industrial design markets, AbleNet has partnered with the developer to offer this unique product for the disability market. With any amount of limited hand movement, you can configure Freehand to replicate any computer keyboard command. Type, click, tab though options – anything you need to do with the touch of a finger.
Think of Freehand as a wearable computer interface. This product will be available in three sizes – small, medium and large.

A stylish magnetic connector allows you to easily connect and disconnect the glove without having to remove it. The pod features gold-plated connections provide maximum connection speed and reliability. - User-Adjustable Sensing
Use with computer software, SoundingBoard or other switch compatible apps, electronic whiteboards, and even some wheelchair controls (website coming soon for configuration instructions and downloadable software)

Easy to use software allows you to calibrate the Freehand to your hand size – three sizes (small, medium, large). Redefine Touch Point locations for the ultimate in accuracy and to make the glove respond the way you want. - Ventilated design for all-day wear

Spilled your drink? No problem! Got pizza sauce on your glove? That’s okay! Just gently hand wash your glove and let it dry and you’re good to go. Make sure you remove the electronics Pod and give the traces a good cleaning. - Replicate any computer keyboard function using downloadable configuration software (PC only)
- Once configured, Mac, PC and Linux compatible via USB interface
- Allows for nearly any finger movement to be a “switch activation”

Quick FAQs
What operating systems does it work on? Windows? Mac OS X? Linux? Does it need special drivers?
The Freehand/Peregrine hardware uses standard HID keyboard drivers and will work on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. The configuration software that allows you to assign keys and calibrate the glove is currently available for Windows, and a Mac version is on the way. Once you have configured the device, you can plug it into any system that uses standard keyboard drivers (Windows, Mac OS X and Linux) and The Freehand/Peregrine will keep its stored settings, and just work!
Is The Freehand/Peregrine in left-handed and right-handed versions?
The Freehand/Peregrine is currently only available for the left hand. It’s designed for gamers who use their right hand to mouse, and their left hand to type. But don’t worry, lefty mouse users, the developer hasn’t forgotten about you. They’re working on it. Just give them some time.
Will there be different sizes? How important is it to get the right fit?
There are three sizes currently available: small, medium, and large. Before you order, please make sure you read the sizing chart carefully. A nice, form-fitting glove will make your Freehand/Peregrine experience much better.
