Augmentative communication system for adults
C-Speak Aphasia was created by Marjorie Nicholas and Shannon Elliott, speech-language pathologists who work extensively with adults who demonstrate moderate and severe nonfluent, expressive aphasia.
C-Speak Aphasia is a complete set of Speaking Dynamically Pro boards to be used as an augmentative communication system for adults with aphasia.
Pictures are selected on the screen and combined to make a novel message which may be spoken or written. Little or no reading comprehension or spelling ability is required. For clients who may have some limited speech, C-Speak Aphasia has also been used as part of an oral language stimulation treatment. Some boards are designed to be customised for the individual.
C-Speak Aphasia includes:
