Choose PCS or Dynasyms – you can choose to have either PCS or Dynasyms installed as standard on your device. If you want to have both, you need to pay extra.

Prerecorded page sets – the “Gateway Jumpstart” (based on the popular Gateway pages in the Series 4 devices) provide professionally recorded vocabulary that can be used as a starting point for normal daily activities, for children and adults. Choose from an adult male voice, an adult female voice or a gender-neutral child’s voice.
Youngsters can use the 9 button preschool pages for immediate communication, while adults will find the 12 button adult pages to be helpful. Medical pages allow users of all ages to keep others informed of their well-being.

Menu structure and software interface are similar to that of the DynaVox DV4 and DynaVox MT4, so the transition from a MiniMo to the more fully featured Series 4 products is easy for communicators with little or no speech and their care teams. Similar interfaces allow communicators to move from one device to another with ease, while care teams must learn only one platform to meet the needs of multiple clients and/or students.

Crisp and clear communication is achieved with its integrated microphone and auto-leveling feature. Messages are recorded – and delivered – with a high degree of clarity.

Quick and easy customisation is possible following an easy step-by-step approach. Pages can be created quickly to meet an individual’s unique needs. Convenient templates provide a structure for communication pages eliminating the need to create new pages from scratch. The MiniMo features a standard 5-row x 6-column template. Also import digital images (e.g. JPEG files) and audio/sound files (e.g. MP3 files) easily to create customised communication pages with greater meaning for the communicator.

Screens can be readily seen indoors and out – allowing the communicator to communicate in virtually all environments.

Storage space on the MiniMo is far greater than earlier devices with more than 100 minutes of speech and sound recordings in addition to those provided at the time of purchase.

Operate household appliances for communicators challenged by significant physical disabilities. They can use the on-board universal remote control to operate common household appliances such as TVs and DVD players that are equipped with X-10 modules and remote controls, and infrared phones.

File backup and restoration is easy, meaning you can backup your MiniMo to your Windows-based PC using a USB storage device(included with your purchase). Restoring data ranging from complete page sets to individual pages from your computer to your MiniMo is just as easy.
