Texthelp Read&Write GOLD is used in hundreds of schools, colleges and universities world-wide. It has been developed to help students who struggle with reading or writing, including those with a learning difficulty, poor literacy skills or English as a second language.

Read&Write GOLD is an easy to use toolbar that “floats” on top of any open application. The software works discreetly with all mainstream Windows applications, such as Word, Internet Explorer and Outlook. In addition to the support it provides for reading and writing, it has a host of features to help with research. This workshop will cover all the main features in the software and the various options that can be altered to suit the individual student.

The Texthelp Certified Trainer training system was established over 10 years ago and has become the global de facto standard of training for those wishing to ensure that Texthelp Read&Write GOLD is successfully implemented in their school, TAFE or university.

This workshop will be of value to learning support team members in schools and post-secondary settings, teachers, teacher aides and therapists already using the Texthelp Read&Write GOLD program. This training is also ideal for those considering the software for their school, college or university. The training recognises the importance of hands-on experience of using the software. Demonstrations and explanations on how best to tailor the software to the individual needs of students are provided.

You will leave the workshop with an in-depth understanding of the many powerful literacy support features built into Read&Write GOLD and gain ideas on how to apply the software to your own educational setting. In addition, Texthelp will provide a demo copy of Read&Write GOLD to you following the workshop to enable you to experiment with the software, try it out with your students and put into practice the skills learnt in the workshop.

There will also be the option of completing the Texthelp Certified Trainer assessment following the training for anyone interested in obtaining Texthelp Certified Trainer certification. This test can be completed at leisure at home or work with the added help of having the software available on your own computer. As a Texthelp Certified Trainer, you will benefit from the ongoing support and training materials provided by Texthelp.
