I am a 30 year old guy who has an easy going nature and enjoys life despite physical challenges. My interests are socialising, computer, writing stories and travel. I started school at Glenroy Special School and was also integrated into a local school and continued thus to senior school. I have used various forms of communication devices for the past 25 years. Thankfully technology has improved greatly over those years and allowed me to communicate directly to people and now via the phone. I am an experienced augmented voice output device user – onto my third DynaVox and am presently using the DynaVox Vmax. I’m mentoring and passing on my knowledge to younger students at Glenroy. The importance of spelling, maths and technology has opened up my life and given me freedom. I really feel proud and enjoy motivating students to feel valued and included in the community. Technology supports them to do so.
