Julie King is known by her full name by all the students and staff she has ever worked with! She is an experienced teacher of 27 years in special needs in the UK and more recently New Zealand. Julie King has a passion for teaching and learning, for making it fun, motivating and totally engaging for everyone! Her career has been rich and varied and has included working as a Deputy Principal; a drama specialist in special schools, embedding multi-media technology into her approach and a professional development trainer supporting special schools in interactive whiteboard technology. She is currently the National Coordinator for CLICK SpecialEDnz, a new online learning community in New Zealand.

Julie King is inspired by the impact of Interactive Whiteboards on student learning. They have become an integral part of her practice. She strongly believes, IF used effectively as a tool, they can facilitate powerful and dynamic learning experiences for group teaching and differentiating learning needs. She creates most of her resources using IWB software and believes that functionality of the software enable teachers and therapists to create ability and age appropriate programmes.
