Judy Hunter-Dickson
Judy Hunter-Dickson and Jane Whitten are the Inclusive Technologies Team with the ACT Dept of Education and Training. They are responsible for assessing and supporting the technology needs of students with disabilities.
Judy has thirty years of teaching experience across three Australian states with students ranging from Pre-school to Year 12 and TAFE. During this time she has held a variety of positions: classroom teacher, reading teacher establishing reading programs in isolated communities, specialist IT teacher, and more recently as an itinerant vision support teacher and an inclusive technology project officer. She has a Masters in Special Education and is currently working as the ACT Executive Teacher of Vision Support. She works hard to ensure that students with a disability have equity and access to high quality resources in formats that enable the student’s maximum participation, engagement and opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge. Judy has presented at a variety of national and international conferences around Australia. Often you will see Judy with digital camera in hand or Clicker’ing away on her laptop working on her next project.
