Cate Detheridge is a senior member of the Widgit Software development team. She is Product Manager, with responsibility for bringing new products to market and heads up the Accessibility Team. Pioneering projects include working with the Sensory Trust to enhance the access of the Eden project, the UK’s largest tourist attraction; accessible information with the Police and local government; and work with charities like Children’s Society. Cate was responsible for the redevelopment of the Widgit Symbol Set, consulting widely with practitioners and professionals. She is co-author of Symbols, Literacy and Social Justice and has presented on symbols and their technologies at international events.
