ReadIt! Storybooks feature imaginatively written, age appropriate stories, fully narrated and beautifully animated, which will engage even the most reluctant reader.

ReadIt! Storybooks can be used as a ‘big book’ on an interactive whiteboard or on a touch monitor/standard computers for individual or small group work. Each story can be ‘read’ at two levels… Choose to read either the ‘full text’ or a ‘simplified’ version, which retells the story using simpler sentences, providing the support that less confident readers need to encourage them to read independently.

All of the ReadIt! Storybooks feature the full range of accessibility options and can be used with one or two switches, touch screens and pointing devices enabling all learners to share in the joy of reading.

ReadIt! Storybooks also have selectable background and text colours to support learners with a visual impairment.

• Younger Readers ReadIt! Library

  These delightful, animated stories for younger children, including those in the Early Childhood, are carefully designed to help develop listening skills in an engaging, fun way. Each story has lots of opportunities for interaction enabling children to respond to what they have seen and heard with comments, questions and actions. Each includes a CD-ROM and a full colour illustrated book. The CD-ROM is packed with resources including matching games, picture builds and talking clocks, together with over fifty ready-to-print flash cards and worksheets to use away from the computer.

  The Younger Readers ReadIt! Storybooks have a huge range of supporting resources including many IntelliKeys activities. Learners can play sound lotto, use a talking clock, complete matching activities and make their own pictures, all with the IntelliKeys keyboard.

• Older Learners ReadIt! Library

  Several titles from Gatehouse Books are available as ReadIt! CD-ROMs, providing all the features of the series for adult learners. Gatehouse has been publishing books for adult learners for over 20 years. With the help of Inclusive Technology, more of their popular stories are coming soon to the ReadIt! series.
