Everything you need for working with symbols in one package
Writing with Symbols 2000 is an integrated word and graphics processor for children and adults who have difficulty using text. It is four programs in one!
For making graphic supported writing. Words are automatically illustrated as you type. 4000 Mayer-Johnson PCS Symbols (as used in Boardmaker and the 98 Addendum) and 5500 Widgit Symbols (formerly known as Rebus Symbols) are included in the pack, giving a very wide vocabulary.
The word processor has many language supports, including different speech voices and a pictorial spell checker. The range of voices can be applied to a document rather like a font, so different parts of the document can be spoken with different voices. This is unique to Writing with Symbols 2000 – as many other talking word processors do not offer this feature.
For making activities and work sheets; communication books and printed overlays for communication devices. Great for creating PECS (The Picture Exchange Communication System) resources too!
Click on an onscreen grid instead of typing some or all of your writing, with switch options included.
