Our Speech Pathology team has been busy creating activities for use with Boardmaker Plus! Version 6. In fact, two of these activities have been featured as the “Editor’s Pick of the Month” on the Adapted Learning site featuring thousands of freely downloadable Boardmaker Plus! boards and interactive activities.

Two of their recent collections of boards and activities are now downloadable from the Spectronics Activity Exchange too.

Pandas Activity Set by Jane Farrall

The Pandas Activity Set for Boardmaker Plus! contains four separate literacy activities. A simple talking book with photos, based around the onset rime word family “-eat”, an onset rime activity, a Panda facts book and a simple comprehension exercise. An excellent resource for early readers of any age – including original Panda photos taken by Jane on her recent visit to Ocean Park in Hong Kong! Click here to download the Activity Set. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Activity Set by Katie Lyon

This activity set was created in Boardmaker Plus! to accompany the fabulous children’s story book by Eric Carle. It contains a range of resources including print-based activities such as a matching activity and a colour-by-number sheet. It also includes many interactive onscreen activities such as a butterfly life-cycle, more or less activity, write a story, find a sound and interactive games including bingo, sorting and noughts and crosses. It also has room for you to develop a talking book, provided you have a copy of the original Very Hungry Caterpillar book. Click here to download the Activity Set.
