TRY this – Rugby World Cup 2011

It all starts this weekend with the kick off for the Rugby World Cup 2011 in New Zealand beginning with New Zealand vs Tonga on Friday night. Be prepared for late nights (or early mornings) and lots of yelling at the television!

We have created some exciting interactive activities using our popular Boardmaker and Clicker 5 software. You can use these fantastic resources to talk about the rugby in the classroom or at home. Chat about what’s going on with enthusiastic rugby followers or enlighten those that are learning what it all means!

Activities include:

  • A simple talking book about the Rugby World Cup with basic facts
  • A page set giving major facts about each country playing in the 2011 Rugby World Cup
  • A book about the Rugby World Cup finals and how teams are eliminated – or get through to win!
  • A quiz about things you have learnt from these activities.

And to get into the spirit of rugby you can watch this clever clip with a Lego haka.

I hope that you enjoy using these activities and that your favourite country wins!
