When taking part in an Action Research Projject which has been designed to answer the question ‘How can I best assist the implementation of iPads as an organisational tool for students with additional.needs in a mainstream environment?’ (remembering that I am a paraprofessional ) I find the problem of shared devices to be a huge barrier …any ideas you could offer would be most appreciated. Students have difficulties ranging from low literacy through to high functioning aspergers…teachers vary from’, accommodating’ to believing that the students ‘ need to experience failure to begin to put pen to paper for themselves’….I wonder how many years these teachers would accept their own failure (or that of their own child! ) before they would demand something different be tried? Do you have any logistical ideas as to how to get the information quickly from device to storage method to be picked up later to be worked on at a different place on another formatted device (perhaps not another iPad) without huge expense to parent or school without consistent wifi pickup? Do you know of anyone who can answer the question?
