There have been MANY emails going back and forward with our talented Keynote Presenters over the past few months. They are coming up with some great ideas for their workshops and presentations! We will be posting news of the sessions up onto the Conference Program section of the Conference website very soon. Keep an eye online as the exciting Preliminary Program comes together!
Only one more month if YOU want to apply to present at the conference!
Just a reminder that the Call for Papers for the conference is closing at the end of this month on 30th September! If you are interested in presenting, click here to submit your proposal online. As usual, one complimentary three-day conference registration will be offered for each presentation accepted for the final program (valued at $595).
Funding support for people with disabilities or learning difficulties to attend
We were, once again, successful in applying for National Disability Conference Program
funding from the Australian Government’s Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs. This generous funding allows us to offer financial support to assist with the costs of attending the 2010 Conference for six people with disabilities, carers for people with disabilities or parents of people with disabilities. People with learning difficulties or parents of students with learning difficulties are also eligible to apply. More details about the support offered and online applications for the funding are now open in the Funding section of the Conference website.
Please encourage all who you feel would benefit from attending the conference to apply. Applications close Wednesday 17th February 2010.
Conference Registrations now open!
If you are ready to register already, click here to register and be sure to reserve your place! Thank you to the 20 people who have already registered. Very exciting to see you booked in already.

After 30 years service I am going to retire from special education. I have worked with adaptive technologies from the days of the BBC computer and concept keyboards until today. I have experienced the changes and strategies for implementing learning technologies over the years as well as supporting other staff. I wish to thank Spectronics for all their valuable support and developments in adaptive technologies over the years and particularly with Boardmaker and Read and Write Gold. I intend to remain proactive in using learning technologies.
HI Marigold,
Thanks very much for your post. We appreciate your comments – and your support as well.
We hope you enjoy your retirement from teaching and we look forward to staying in contact with you.
