By now, you may have heard about the new Clicker apps bought to you by Crick Software. If not, you can check out my recent blog post New Crick apps – from the masters that bring you Clicker! for more information.
They really have some great features to support writing. Clicker Sentences is an early writing tool that enables you to build sentences with whole words. Clicker Docs allows you to quickly and easily create word banks, has a lower case keyboard and word prediction, ideal for struggling writers. Both have a range of speech options to review their writing more independently.
I have now had the chance to explore the apps in more detail and have recorded the webinar Using Clicker Sentences and Clicker Docs on your iPad to support writing. This is available to Spectronics Online subscribers and provides an overview of the newly released apps, the differentiated support they provide for students of all abilities, and the development of some example activities to show you just how intuitive and easy it is to create relevant content for your classroom.
With more and more content for the Clicker apps being developed as we speak, Learning Grids is the spot to watch to download activities directly to your devices. But of course, you can keep an eye out here too and we will keep you updated with any developments.
