Why can't I import JPEG/JPG Files into Boardmaker version 5 ?
If your version of Boardmaker version 5 is older than version 5.3.8 we would suggest that you go to the Mayer-Johnson web site and download and install the updater so that your version is then 5.3.8, this will allow importing of .jpg files.
- Go to: www.mayer-johnson.com/support/softwareupdates
- Use the following updater:
Boardmaker Software Family v5.3.8 Updater
Released on October 8 2007. This update is for v5 of the Boardmaker Software Family titles (Boardmaker with Speaking Dynamically Pro, Boardmaker Plus and Boardmaker).
IMPORTANT NOTE:
JPEG files usually come in two different extensions, “.JPG” and “JPEG”. Although Boardmaker will show both extensions on the import screen, it will disregard “JPEG” extensions whenever you try to import them. The best solution for this is to change the extension to “.JPG” .
