Go to the Updater section on the Cricksoft website:

You have two choices of updater files for Clicker 5:

1. Clicker 5.2 Windows update (for standalone UK English installation – 9.8 MB)
   
2. Clicker 5.2 Windows Update (for Network UK English installation – 44 MB)

Click on the one you want to install and a window will appear: (these screenshots show version 5.1 update being applied – version 5.2 looks similar)

You have the choice of either clicking on Open which will allow you to install the updater or Save which you can save the file to an area on your computer to install later or you can click on Cancel should you not wish to proceed.


Click on Open, and you will see the following screen:

The updater will start to install to your Clicker 5.

When this folder has finished downloading, you receive a message saying that ‘the creator of this software has not been verified and do you wish to install this’. This is a Microsoft message – just click Yes and continue.

The following window appears:

Click Next, you will see the following window and the files will start to install:

The following window appears:

Put the Clicker 5 CD into the CD drive and press OK.

It opens the Clicker 5 installer section of the Clicker 5 CD – ignore this (close it).

It gives a window showing the files installing, then it tells you that it has been successfully installed.

Please Note: If you are using a Windows 98 or Windows ME computer system, you will see the following window appear over the top of the window showing the files being installed.
It will show the Internal Error 2720.2 – ignore this (click on OK).

Both windows will close and you will see:

Ignore this window and click on OK.

Although when using Windows 98 or Windows ME, you will not be given a window which tells you the installation has been completed successfully – it has been completed successfully.

If you are using other Windows Operating Systems (besides Windows 98 and ME) you will see the following window:

Click on Finish.

Take out your Clicker 5 CD and re-boot your system.

Start Clicker 5. Click on Help. Click on About Clicker 5 and check that your version of Clicker 5 now states version 5.10 – as shown in the box below:

You should now have the new switch access and spell-checking features.
